Tarrafal on Praia island has a beach with safe swimming. I'm in Cape Verde at the moment, I'm staying in Boa Vista staying at the Riu Touareg. You can't swim in the sea at the hotel but if you go around the island to Santa Monica beach you can as I've just spent a couple of hours swimming there!

I hope you had fun there! It would be nice if you could share some pictures from your trip.
